Q:  Is pressure washing safe?

A:  Yes.  Your peace of mind is important to us.  Whether our company is cleaning your commercial kitchen or your private home, we always take care to use the best equipment and cleaning products available.  Our trained technicians use either low or high pressure washing equipment depending upon the situation, and all of our cleaning products are bio-degradable and safe for the environment, people, and pets. You can have confidence of knowing that your site is cleaned by a professional company with over 25 years of experience in the industry.  To give our customers the best service possible, we keep up to date on the latest health and industry standards.

Q:  Do you have insurance?

A:  Yes, Centex is fully insured with liability, worker’s compensation for our employees, and vehicle coverage on all company vehicles.  We will be happy give you proof of insurance and can arrange for your business to be listed as an additional insured on our policy if required.

By the way, business and property owners need to be careful.  You should require proof of insurance for all service contractors who do work on your property.  If you take someone’s word that they have insurance and find out later that they don’t, you can be left holding the bag. Without enough insurance coverage, you could be held liable in case of an accident or injury.

Q:  How often does a commercial kitchen need to be cleaned?

A: The regular cleaning of hoods and the exhaust system will keep your commercial kitchen safe and operating at peak performance every day. Centex customers are placed on the regular maintenance schedule that is recommended by the National Fire Protection Association, Code 96*, which establishes standards for the pressure washing industry.  The NFPA guidelines are categorized by the type of cooking done and the volume range from low to high. Here are the guidelines from the NFPA:

Frequency of Cleaning

Monthly Quarterly Semi-Annually Annually
Systems serving solid fuel cooking operations. Systems serving high-volume operations, such as 24 hour cooking, charbroiling or wok cooking. Systems serving moderate-volume cooking operations. Systems serving low-volume cooking operations, such as churches, day camps, seasonable businesses or senior centers.

*  Professional standards for the cleaning of Kitchen Exhaust Systems are found at the National Fire Protection Association, Code 96: Standard for Ventilation Control and Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations.  This standard provides the minimum fire safety requirements, both preventative and operative, related to the design, installation, operation, inspection and maintenance of all public and private cooking operations.
